The Wild Rose Hideaway

Directions

The Wild Rose Hideaway property goes all the way to the beach, but the property consists of some wetland and rough terrain.  We completed the first phase of a walkable path to the beach that is accessible in Summer and Autumn.  During Winter and Spring months, the path is under water due to the wetlands.  You can, also, always walk or drive down to the beach by turning right out of our driveway and taking the first right past The Local Bar & Grill.  Either way (road or path) is about 1/2 mile (the path is just over 800 yards).

The good news is that the wildlife loves the pond and we love the wildlife!  Added fun factor ~ bring a couple rubber rafts and play on the pond.  We do, and there have been some very funny water battles that have ensued!

Because of the  wetland designation, the path had to be hand cut. You will notice it's very rough yet so please use caution walking through it (wear sturdy shoes). To get to it, walk straight ahead out the back chain link gate and look for the path opening on your right (before you hit the pond!). Follow it for about 300-400 yards and you will be brought out in our upper meadow. From there, just make your way towards the ocean (it's a long walk but fun). When you've reached the 2nd dune, walk to your right a bit and there's an easier step down on to the beach. We hope to refine it as we can but it is useable.
